St. John’s, NL – The Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation awarded a $100,000 education grant to full-time staff of the Children’s and Women’s Health Program and affiliated Eastern Health staff to avail of education opportunities that will enhance their clinical practice. A significant portion of this year’s funds are going towards education initiatives that focus on quality of care provided to the paediatric population.

“On behalf of Eastern Health and our paediatric employees and physicians, I would like to thank the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation and their donors for their continuous and generous support for our work,” said Arlene Scott, Eastern Health’s Regional Director of Children and Women’s Health. “These education grants will provide invaluable opportunities for us to learn about the latest advances in specialty care for children while also providing a platform to enhance relationships with national colleagues and other children’s hospitals across the country.”

“Through donor generosity, the Foundation is committed to continue our practice of offering life-long learning opportunities to our dedicated health care team, all to provide best quality of care to our young patients at the Janeway,” said Lynn Sparkes, Janeway Foundation’s President and CEO.
