ANNUAL GIVING
- Levels:
The Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation donor relation’s policy establishes annual giving levels (including gift-in-kind donations*) and provides appropriate and graduated recognition for donors for individual gifts given in any single year at each level (based on March 31 year end):

| $5,000 – $9999 | Dream Builder |
| $10,000 – $24,999 | Miracle Maker |
| $25,000 – $49,999 | Children’s Champion |
| $50,000 – $74,999 | Rainbow Builder |
| $75,000 plus | Dr. Clifton J. Joy Achievement |
- Gift-In-Kind Donations:
Gift-in-kind (GIK) donations are valuable to both the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation and hospital programs. To ensure appropriate recognition benefits are administered for a GIK donation, the donation must be secured with a written accounting of the fair market value of the gift. Prior to discussing recognition or the tax benefits for a GIK donation, Fundraising Staff must first seek advice and concurrence from the Executive Director / Financial Administrator.
GIK donations are defined as “the provision of goods or services for which the Foundation would normally incur a cost when conducting business”. Volunteer time is not considered a GIK donation.
*Gift-in-kind donations are not recognized cumulatively and are identified separately in publications.
CUMULATIVE GIVING
- Levels:
The Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation donor relation’s policy establishes cumulative giving levels and provides appropriate and graduated recognition for donors for gifts given over a number of years at each level (based on March 31 year end) and these donors can be displayed on the “Wall of Miracles” donor wall at the Janeway Hospital:

EVENT SPONSORS
Contributions for event sponsorship are not included in the donor recognition program. Recognition of sponsors is provided within the guidelines for each event.
