The Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebecca Dutton to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer.
Rebecca has served the non-profit sector for over 17 years, with expertise in the areas of fundraising, strategic planning, charitable administration, and capital campaign direction. Rebecca comes to the Janeway Foundation from Memorial University of Newfoundland, where she managed significant donor relationships, led various teams, participated in capital campaigns, and raised millions in support of education and research. Prior to this, Rebecca served as a consultant with Canada’s largest fundraising consultancy, KCI. There she acted as Associate Campaign Director for a campaign to build North America’s first fully digital hospital – Humber River Hospital. Earlier, Rebecca held director roles with both Enactus Canada and Young Adult Cancer Canada.
“Our Board made this selection based on Rebecca’s extensive experience and professional achievements. We are confident that Rebecca’s collaborative and engaging leadership approach, and wide-ranging experience, will lead the Foundation to continue to inspire our supporters and donors to invest in the Janeway Hospital, advancing pediatric care in our province,” said Martin Sullivan, Board Chair.
A long-time volunteer for many charitable organizations, Rebecca is the former President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter of Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and is presently Vice-Chair of the Media Communications Committee for AFP Canada.
Rebecca loves to try new activities, and in her downtime she can usually be found either on a spin bike or chasing her young son up a mountain!
