Endowments
An endowment is a gift that provides financial stability for charitable organizations. It makes long-range planning possible due to the predictable stream of income and protects a charity in years when revenue may be reduced.
There are two ways in which you can make an endowed donation to the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Your gift can be designated to the existing Little Red Wagon endowment fund or you can set up a named endowment.
A Named Endowment is a deeply personal statement of who you are and what is most important to you. The endowment can be in your name or to honor a loved one. Named charitable endowments to the Janeway Foundation require a minimum total contribution of $25,000.
The income from these endowments can provide funding, that may not otherwise be available through provincial grants, to assist in the purchase of specific medical equipment; staff education; pediatric programs and research.
If you are considering an endowed gift in your will to the Janeway Foundation, we encourage you to explore the various donation options with your financial and legal advisors, ensuring that your future gift is as tax effective as possible and takes your family needs into consideration.
